This lamp was made for one of my best friends who has been fighting a terrible form of cancer for 5 years. Round like a balloon or a wheel, to indicate that Gwen keeps moving forward and does not stop. When you are in the whirlwind of illness, you have to keep going, not stop.
The lamp is also a reference to the hockey ball or football. Gwen's life. The shape of a lampshade inside is a nod to our long-standing friendship and that of our grandmothers.
Part of the proceeds of this lamp will go to charity, as an interior designer, I offer my services to the oncology department to make patients and their families feel more comfortable when visiting the department during this less pleasant period.
